Depression striked

She thought, with every good there must be the bad..
Jin and Jang and all that world balance,
it all made sense

so one day, she woke up sad,
with sick feeling in her stomach and
before she even realised.. she's already battling her demons.

She walked through the city, like nothing happened,
even looking like everyone else, but none of them knew
that their presence is making her even worse.

Every night while trying to fall asleep in tears
and not being able to breathe, her thoughts got darker
persisting until at once her eyes got too heavy.

As morning came she felt better again,
in sheaf of the light she discovered that it's all in her head
and she was just obsessing about every little trouble of hers.

As it is the personal story of everyone, at least once in a lifetime,
you should just be thankful about your blessings in life and just...
stop thinking so much...

and if the D. comes for you with
the question: how long can I feel like this until I fall into pieces?
remember this - you'll be fine and you're not alone!

5 tips for being healthy

Everyone has had a moment in our lifes when we didn't like ourselfes in the mirror. We were uncomfortable in our clothes. They we're just too tight and you just had to get bigger size of those good looking jeans :/ That was my case and I also started to get some health issues even thought I was "just" 20 pounds overweight. In one way I was happy I could see what's going on while things could get further and worse.

Anyway I learned what I have to do to be healthy. I know we can get a lot of tips on the internet but I would like to start from scratch here. So if you're trying to lose weight or just want to be a healthy, active and fit version of yourself
here are 5 basic rules:

1. Drink water
we all know we have to watch what we put in our mouths and it all starts with water. So at least 8 glasses a day (no soda)! But also tea or coffee counts. Tea on one side makes us thirsty, it actually dehidrates us, so I rather not count it in.

But hey, no sugar in tea or coffee ;) which brings us to another rule...

2. Eat right food
after years of trying different foods, I felt best when I
- ate no white sugar (stevia or coconut, palm sugar it's ok, of course there's a lot of other sweetners, you can use. Good ones don't play and raise your blood sugar level). Another thing are
- carbs - white pasta, rice and bread has to go out, there's a lot of other healthy possibilities. Last but not least,
- fat - we find our biggest enemy in vegetable oils and margarine (good fat is in olives, olive oil, coconut oil, butter etc.)

You will indeed slip and make ''wrong'' decisions, you're just a human being. So if you want to eat something, do it.. but portion control is important.. If you don't eat what you crave, you'll crave it even more.

3. Exercise
yeah, I know.. I also wish it was different. But after a while you feel so energized, so good. I practise 30 minute high interval 5 days a week (that's how I got my results). Ideal would be at least 45 minutes, 5 days per week.

I decided to try an hour a day (free on weekends). To shock my body and lose those last 5 pounds, which are on my body for a while now. I'll let you know how that goes if you want to :)

So try different exercises, do what you like.. swimming, spinning classes or maybe you're a runner? Through winter I just exercised in my small room, with only my mat and weights made by myself (plastic containers filled with sand) - so no excuses!

4. Reduce stress
Even when you do all of the above, if you encounter stress at work or at home or if it's only in your head, it will be seen on your growing tummy anyway. So try to reduce it, do things that make you happy. Start a hobby, you never know how much pleasure (or money) could that bring you.

Last but not least
5. Love yourself
and your body, it's only one you'll live in. You can't replace it and get another one. But you can make it better. And if you think you're not a good person, start doing something good, something you enjoy, you'll get your self-confidence. But I'm pretty much sure, you're already awesome.

So stay like that and start loving what you see ;) be proud of yourself, you're one and only!

Note: I'm not a doctor or have any medical school education, these are just tips that helped me and many others.

Furry little thing

It’s foggy November morning, I open my eyes. My brothers are right next to me in small basket with purple blanket underneath. Blanket is filthy as we all are. Children of the street.

Even thought we do live next to one old house, they don't give us much attention. We get some food once a day, maybe twice and it's mostly some meat with potatoes or bread. We sometimes get milk on mornings. It's that kind of morning today.

I don't remember my mother, either my early childhood. She comes from time to time, but she hasn’t come for a while now. Memories are all very blurred and I'm always so sleepy...

As we grew a little older, some of my brothers are playing with me, I'm so proud of my family. When chilly night falls on us, we sleep next to each other again and I feel safe.

Ugh, even days are now getting colder. I don't know what I'd do if I were alone here. We talk about the world behind the fence. It’s always opened and it calls for us to look out. But we're afraid what we might find there.

Once my little sister went out and she never came back. She is very curious and brave. Maybe one day I might go and maybe I'll find her. But not today, rain is pouring, my blanket is so soft...

If you were an animal...

there comes a day when you start with job searching. For most people a part called job interview is the most unpleasant event. So it's smart to prepare for that matter (or in my case ask the Internet what bad things can happen to me there). Many stories tell us what are frequently asked questions on the interview.
I've seen this one many times, also heard of it in Sociology class, so it's the most interesting to me:

- if you were an animal, what would you be?

it's quite simple, but it get's you thinking... about pets you own, ones you would like to or about what kind of ''personality'' does an animal have? It's also good to keep in mind about how that animal obeys and what are their motivators.
Your future boss has some kind of secret intention to see under your skin, what do you hide underneath your good behavour? ^^

Many of my class mates said that they would be a dog, because of course it's loyal and kind. Some of them said a lion, because it's a king of the jungle with great hair :)  I'm not sure I would be the queen of the interview after that answer.

Anyway, I thought about a bird, because it's small and somehow powerful with it's wings, I could go away any day I please and be able to smile down at people and much more (if you know what I mean) ..oops, maybe not most suitable answer.

But then I thought, what about a cat. Guess not, it's too lazy, too hypocritical and many other bad news. I am more cat than dog person in fact, we do have two cats at home but sometimes they can be really moody. That was my opinion until today, when I saw a picture on my Facebook feed:

Seems we can find a lot of positive in their lifestyle. Those are the rules I could definitely live by, we all should! And if I don't get the job, I can still be a cat lady and purr my life away :)

What about you - which animal are you? Would you say any different, if you were in an interview?

Thanks for stopping by.

Own your weirdness

Have you ever had an idea and you were so thrilled about it? For few hours, maybe days you were dreaming or possibly already did something to make your idea come to life? Then someone or something came and ruined everything?

You said to yourself, it's just not time yet or the idea wasn't good enough. Let me tell you something. It is enough, it is good, actually it's great and it's yours. First overthinking came and effects were fear and self-doubt.

We are all so different, we are all so special. Stop thinking that your ideas are rubbish. Some of them might not succed, that's true, but you have to start somewhere - Rome wasn't built in a day. As individuals we have so much to give. I know, there are many inventions out there and ideas, but yours are special in different, unique way. In your own way.

You might also have interests, that are not the same as others have. That's great! Mine for example vary, from vampires and witches to mind and intuition, to getting successful and also having family, to be a photographer (without even having my camera yet) ect. I'm sure if I ask you what your interests are, you'll find at least three. Embrace them and then you'll get some crazy ideas that can be accomplished.

So we mentioned first two parts of the story, then there is your free time and your job, possibly dream job. You can do anything you want in any part of your life and get paid for it - very well actually. Just don't stop trying, don't overthink and everything can happen, everything is possible.

Embrace what you want and what you maybe already do in your free time. Be patient but also brave enough to put yourself out there. Show people what you can do. You will be happier, more confident and what it's most important you will love yourself more.

New me, new you

I've been trying to hide myself for a week now. Quitting job and trying to do something that I like overwhelmed me totally. So I needed some time. Watched all the episodes found on Internet while hidden from the outside world.

It's ok to do that. But it's time to end this. From time to time you just need to hide a little bit and think about what you need. But you also need to wake up, otherwise you could sleep forever.

You have to find strenght inside of you. No matter what problems do you have or which dreams are not coming true for you. But it's actually easy. Dreams are not coming true because you don't let them. Or you're just too lazy to stand up and start doing something.

It doesn't matter what you want, if it seems impossible to you. It seems so only because you let black thoughts get into your head. Get control over you life. Stop these thoughts.

It depends a lot what kind of structure do you have. And by structure I mean relationships in family. But at the end of the day, it's your life, not from your sister, father, aunt etc. So you can fight all that habits you got from your family and make a new ones. Better ones. Ones that suit you, only happy version of you. Be a beautiful positive dreamer.

Nice girl gone happy
